Where are you based?
I am based in Perth, Western Australia and make all of my jewellery here. My Fremantle workshop is shared with 4 other jewellers, together we are the Wayward Jewellers Society (we have a group instagram @waywardjewellers).
Who makes the jewellery?
It really is just one person behind all this, I’m Devan and everything on this site has been crafted at my workshop in Perth by me. It’s important to me to that all my customers know there is one person crafting these pieces with care. I put a huge amount of effort and care into bringing designs to life that I am super proud of. Unfortunately social media is flooded by ‘designers’ that outsource everything to low income countries, so don’t be afraid to ask where jewellery is made, and by who, before you buy!
Are your pieces stocked in any physical stores?
Not yet, I’m working on it! If you are a store interested in wholesale, please contact me!
I have a problem with my order!
Email me, it might be within the realm of ‘problems I can fix’! From an incorrect shipping address to ordering the wrong quantity, send me the details.
My parcel never arrived!
It’s the worst, but it does happen occasionally. Unfortunately I cannot be responsible for packages once I hand them over to the postal company. Sometimes a missing parcel can be found, so send me an email and I can look into it.
What's your return policy?
I do not accept returns or exchanges if you have ‘changed your mind’. If there is a legitimate fault with the item that has been overlooked, please contact me via email with the issue, including images of the fault. I am sure we can work out a solution that works for everyone! If this is a manufacturing fault, that’s something I would like to help you with, but if it’s a fault from poor treatment of the piece, that is not my responsibility. Jewellery is not invincible, please treat it with care!
Who do you ship with?
Within Australia:
Domestic orders are shipped through Australia Post using the standard parcel post option which comes with tracking. Please refer to the Australia Post website for more information on shipping times.
International:
International orders are shipping through Australia Post using the International Economy Air option. Australia Post states that tracking is available for this option, but not signature on delivery. Additional postage insurance is available on request, but it can be costly, contact me before paying for your order and it can be added. Please refer to the Australia Post website for more information on shipping times.
Is your jewellery for women or men?
It’s for everyone, baby! I’m very enthusiastic about jewellery being unisex! Jewellery is wearable art, and everyone gets to participate. If you see ring sizes listed, don’t worry, jewellery sizing is standard across the board for everyone.
Where can I find more local jewellery makers to support?
Lots of us love to use instagram to connect to audiences, try there first. We also go to markets and you might be able to find local artists stocked in stores near you. If you get really stuck, ask around! Artists love to refer their friends and peers, if I’m not exactly what you’re looking for, drop me a line! Jewellers have a secret network we communicate through. One of us will be able to help you find your dream piece.
